Web Site Optimisation
What is web site optimisation?
Web site optimisation is simply maximising the content and visibility of your site to others on the web.
It can be split down into two aspects:
Getting visitors onto your site (Search Engine Optimisation, SEO). Making it more visible and prominent in search engines will mean you will receive more traffic and therefore greater revenue.
Keeping visitors on your site (Internal Site Optimisation, ISO). Ultimately making your visitors’ experience on your site better, keeping them there for longer, hopefully making a purchase, and returning in the future.
We are going to run a small series looking into detail into each of these topics, and determine the best ways to optimise your website, both internally and externally.
The agenda:
Getting visitors onto your site
1. What is SEO?
- Keyword selection
- Page title
- Meta description tags

- Analysing search results

- Product ratings
- User tailored content
- People who bought this also bought
- Abandoned baskets
- Bestsellers
